The DoubleDown Bedroll is designed as a companion bedroll to our BareKnuckle Bedroll. The Double down layes on the groung next to your BareKnuckle, and 4 dowels and loops attach the two together.
The generous waterproof breathable Drizzle Cover is attached on the opposite side making a DoubleDown and a BareKnuckle sunggle friendly bedrolls.
The built in waterproof breathable Drizzle covers open together and overlap each other.
The DoubleDown Bedroll also features Therm-a-Rest’s high quality 2″ Basecamp self-inflating mattresses, open the valve, let the mattress ‘wick-up’ air like a sponge for 20 minutes, add a couple of breaths to dial in your comfort level close the valve and rest well.
When it’s time to go, you need to roll up and ‘crush’ the air out a few times. It’s a bit of effort but it’s a good trade off for the self-inflating feature.
The straps are long enough to roll up each bedroll with your bedding inside, from a simple bedroll sheet to a medium thickness sleeping bag, depending upon your conditions.
DoubleDown Bedrolls are sold in either sharp black or classic tan.
As a bedroll magnate, I own a few of the Original Oregon Bedrolls, but when me and my girl ride, those expensive Original bedrolls stay on the shelf and we prefer to camp with a BareKnuckle and a DoubleDown, it’s a good choice for us. -Patrick
