Why a Bedroll?

A bedroll is about minimalism, just what you need, nothing more. A bedroll means you don’t pack 1/2 your garage when you travel, no tent, no poles, no separate sleeping pad, cot,  plus sleeping bag. If your taking that much stuff, shouldn’t you have a hatchet, lantern, stove and radio? Forget all that stuff and just pack your bedroll.

For riders that go places I believe packing the best bedroll possible on a motorcycle can do more for a motorcyclist’s overall riding experience than the sum of all parts and modifications applied to the machine. It can and will change how people ride and bring them closer to the spirit and true freedom that a motorcycle can bring. A bedroll gives you freedom.

A bedroll can have many uses beyond the obvious:

It serves as a ‘passenger’ seat on solo saddle bikes.

It can carry precious cargo in the very padded small interior pocket inside the bag/pillow.

The exterior D-rings allow you to strap your jacket on a hot day onto the bedroll without struggling for elusive bungee points.

More likely to ride more and farther knowing you are not at the mercy of hotel rooms 100%.

With an ice pack beverages stay cold for hours.

Skip 3 or 4 hotels rooms and it pays for itself, skip more, save more.

Makes it easier for us polite guys to ask to crash at somebody’s place.

A bike trip vacation can be a cheap vacation.

In a serious emergency a bedroll could wrap broken arms or legs, bandages could be extracted from the fabric, the straps could make slings and tourniquets as well as It could work a drag stretcher a distance from assistance.

Drinking and riding alternative.

Impulsive and spontaneous bike trips become possible.

If you just dropped $400 on an ultimate motorcycle bedroll, wouldn’t that make you ride more?

If you ride distances, packing a bedroll opens your options.

Bedroll + Bike = Freedom
